Just as in the case of Windows Live Messenger, including Google Talk, you can use a simple trick that allows' multiple simultaneously running on the same computer with different Gmail accounts.

Here's how:

  • After downloading and installing Google Talk, create a shortcut to the executable directly on the Desktop (if you have not already done by selecting the appropriate option during installation).
  • With the right mouse button click on the link to Google Talk from the context menu and select "Properties." This will open a windows like the following:
    gtalk-link
  • Change the command line under the label "Target" by adding the "-nomutex".
After editing, the command line should be something like:
    "C: \ program files \ Google \ Google Talk \ googletalk.exe" / nomutex
  • Date "OK" to confirm the change.
You can also try pidgin - an open source software to create multiple instances of google talk or similar IM.
