There are many software that can perform remote management of a Windows computer, such as integrated tool "Remote Desktop" or the lightest and fastest VNC, or you can simply activate (as needed) the classic console-based services such as Telnet or FTP.

In all cases, however, is that solutions in terms of safety may have weaknesses: a port scanit would be in position to identify just the kind of remote management service active on our computer exposed on the Internet, which typically accounts for a hacker the first step in preparation for an attempt at intrusion.

Application Access Server is a free software that allows an administrator to remotely manage a Windows server in a safe, thanks to its particular mode of operation in "Stealth Mode" which is able to function while remaining invisible to any port scanner. The management console is accessible via HTTP to the client administration need only a browser without any special software or additional components.

Below is a list of key features of Application Access Server:

  • Integrated web server for administration via HTTP
  • Ability to manage starting and stopping all the processes of system
  • Management of services running
  • Management software installed: start, stop, installation
  • Ability to set restrictions on users who use the service
  • System of "black list" for users engaged in more than a certain number of login errors
  • Running in "silent and stealth mode": the door to go to the show via AAS only open in the face of calls correctly formatted with a "port keyword" specified.
